This season it was necessary that we designed brand new hubs. The measurements of the rims and uprights were significantly changed in a way which meant the hubs had to be much bigger. Another concept-decided customisation was required for the rear axle. Due to the wheel hub drive, we have integrated the function of the planetary gear carrier into the hub, so this season our hubs are directly a part of the planetary gear.
\nThe rear hub has very complex geometry, so we are extremely pleased that our long-time and competent sponsor, Maschinenbau W. W\u00e4chtler, helped us with the manufacture. The family firm, founded in 1933, is currently in its third generation and is a specialist in the field of milling and turning in Dresden and the surrounding area.
