The company founded 2002 in Santa Barbara, California, is considered the market-leading producer of high voltage relays and sealed switching products. Since 2003, GIGAVAC products are being distributed exclusively by HVC-Technologies in Germany. <\/p>\n<p>For our new racing car, code name EFR08e05, the relays are being used as accumulator isolation relays (in short: AIR). Their purpose is the certain separation of the accumulator from the rest of the car in case of an accident. The relays are also being used to pre- and discharge the intermediate circuit of the car&#8217;s tractive system.
