Silverstone Day 1

On Monday evening 6 pm we set off from Dresden to Silverstone – we took the 1200km long journey to participate in our first event of the season “Formula Student UK”. At 05:45 on Monday morning we could take the ferry from Calais to Dover, while our truck went by train through the Eurotunnel. From the ferry it wasn’t as far anymore, so we arrived 11 o’clock at Silverstone Circuit. First of all we took a walk around the camping area until the campsite opened in the afternoon and we could set up our team camp. At the end of the day we had a great team barbecue.
The next morning our team had the possibility to relax a little bit after the long journey. After lunch we could finally go into the event area. When we had stored all our tools and JulE in our pit, it was time for our team registration. In connection there was the big opening ceremony in the evening, where the official start of the event was herald with all teams.
