Measurement systems and know-how of TraceTronic

We are pleased to be supported by the TraceTronic GmbH with six-axis sensors in the 2015 season. The Dresden-based specialist for embedded systems and control unit software helped us always in the implementation and evaluation of the sensor data to the page. The sensor is built into our telemetry and provides important information on the current vehicle situation. This allows us not only an optimized motor control in the form of torque vectoring, but also provides us with important information about the suspension, such as the maximum delay during braking. Accordingly, we can evaluate the design of our suspension components and draw conclusions for the following vehicles.

For the first time, TraceTronic supports us in our software development and validation, which is implemented in LabVIEW. With the help of ECU-TEST and a CAN database we can validate all vehicle functions on our controller, the “telemetry” before the assembly. Furthermore, the system allows us to drive the development of the vehicle ahead in terms of software. Newly written code can be tested on the PC, without a car required for this.

We would like to thank in the Company TraceTronic GmbH on behalf of Elbflorace eV for their support and are pleased to be able to compete at the international design competition Formula Student this season with TraceTronic at our side.
