Hubs machined by Wächtler from Dresden!

As last year, the wheel hubs were cnc-machined by our partner Maschinenbau W. Wächtler. On this occasion, the parts were 3- and 5-axis-milling constructions out of EN AW-7075, which require high dimensional accuracy and surface finish, because the planetary gears and the wheel bearings are mounted on the hub.

The company Maschinenbau W. Wächtler is located in Dresden, Germany, and is owned in the 3rd family generation. Its main competence is mechanical fabrication such as turning, milling, grinding, sawing and qualitiy check. Wächtler helped us during the concept- and construction-stage to check and optimize the CAD model for machining purposes. Thus contruction failure could be averted in the early stages and the project timetable could be complied.
